Abdimalik Buul – Educational Consultant

Dr. Abdimalik Buul is an award-winning professor, antiracist activist, progressive practitioner, and emancipatory educator. He is an innovative dynamic leader within the San Diego community and throughout the state of California. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in community-based counseling and social justice, both from San Diego State University (SDSU). He completed his doctorate work in Educational leadership with an emphasis in Educational Psychology from the University of Southern California (USC). He is a Professor and Transfer Center Director in the San Diego City College District.

The Louis Gregory Race Unity Foundation

Dale Fowler is the founder of a nationally recognized Race Unity Event in Austin, Texas called the Louis Gregory Symposium, which attracts thousands of DEI practitioners and people of all walks of life who are interested in fostering racial reconciliation in their communities from all across the United States. This annual event and other training have been held each year since 2007 at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. This multi-racial symposium in partnership with HBCU Huston – Tillotson continues to grow from year to year and commemorates the life of Louis Gregory, who visited the college in 1920 and gave lectures to students and staff about the need to foster racial amity between the black and white communities. Mr. Fowler is a key thought leader in Austin, Texas whose efforts to unite people of all races have led to Huston – Tillotson to consider funding a professorship chair position at the college in the name of Louis Gregory for the purpose of offering courses on race unity and social justice.

Dr. Nicole Jacobs

Dr. Nicole Jacobs is the Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. She holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Jacobs serves as the Western region representative on the Group on Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee. Her research centers around the assessment of implicit bias and the development and evaluation of practices to mitigate bias in medical students and faculty search and admissions committee members.
